A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. –John Steinbeck

It is hard to avoid those gravel roads, but we took yet another one to venture into another national park, Conguillio.  Its center is dominated by Volcan Llaima which erupted as recently as 1994.  You can see one great path the lava took down the mountain.

This is the opposing view showing geological layers.

Plant life is starting to reappear in the lava trail.

This another volcano off to the northeast.

Lago Verde.

Another lake with a huge beach and some Chilean swimmers.

Leaving the park.
