Driving north from Quito, Ecuador, we saw the sign for Parque Condor just in time to turn off the Panamerican Highway. Flying demonstrations were to begin at 11:30. Our first birds in the park were the magnificent Andean condors.
A small audience watched the flying demonstrations. Some of the raptors flew away for long periods of time.
About 15 different owls were housed in large individual aviary enclosures.
A small interpretive center compared feathers, nests, and eggs
The Parque Condor was an interesting place to spend a couple of hours.
