Wandering back to Santa Cruz from Tampa, our route took us through some beautiful tribal lands of the Navajo Nation in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. Imagine having some of these views daily:
Shiprock, New Mexico
Red Valley, New Mexico
Narbona Pass through the Chuska Mountains, New Mexico to Arizona
Defiance Uplift, Arizona
Canyon de Chelly (de SHAY), Arizona
There are a lot (probably too many) of photos, but this is a big set of canyons: del Muerto, de Chelly, and Monument. To visit the floors of the canyons you need to take a tour or have a Navajo guide. Otherwise, you drive the edge...North Rim Drive and South Rim Drive...like we did and stop at the numerous overlooks. Perhaps a photo or two will catch your eye. Enjoy the tour.
