A Stairway Walk in San Francisco

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco for a stairway walk. This is #5 in the Adah Bakalinsky's Stairway Walks in San Francisco.

We walked around the northern portion of Russian Hill which includes the George Sterling Park, the Alice Marble Tennis Courts, the famous curvy portion of Lombard Street, and 11 sets of stairways.  Some of our great views were of the San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and Coit Tower.

  1. Hey, next time you go into the city for a walk let us know. If nothing is planned we could meet up. Just need a couple days notice if possible.

  3. San fransisco looks to be a lovely city but you wouldn't want to have a go at it without a good nights sleep and a couple of stops planned for buns - it's so hilly.

  4. Yes, Sandy, it is hilly, but my most favorite city in the world. And it is full of neighborhoods with wonderful little stopping places for buns, tea, or a great draft.

  5. NICE POST Becky! I see Jim treading up the steps, to see the sites. You two are always doing great things. I love SF, but would not want to live there for sure. Great sites, and restaurants. Keep your posts coming.

  6. How many walks have you done from that book? I think that's a great habit. How do you pick which one you're going to do each trip?

  7. Linda, I think we have done about 10 of the 27 walks. I try to pick ones in the vicinity of where we ...will be staying, are visiting, or haven't done yet.
