The Grand Tetons

After spending the night in Jackson, Wyoming, we headed north into Grand Teton National Park.  The mountains simply tower over you.  As we hiked around the southern edge of Jenny Lake, we heard the bugle of an elk twice and saw a  marmot.

  1. OH MY wished we had known you were planning this trip. You just get home and you are off again!! Really nice post of the Tetons. I have never seen a marmot before. Thanks for your comment on my first spotting of the black bear. Hope you two are having fun.

  2. That looks like some beautiful hiking. When we were kids and hiking my dad use to bugle like an elk or moose. Hope he wasn't roaming the forest there. LOL
