The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are. –Samuel Johnson

Yikes!  Another flight so soon?

Not to worry.  All went smoothly:  taxi to airport, security check, flight, car reservation, hotel reservation...to arrive in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Okay, now what?   Magallanes Penquinos, what else?  After a two hour ferry ride, we arrived at Isla Magdalena to take company with about 69,000 couples and their molting offspring.  These penguins are also known as South Penguins or Burrow Penquins.

  1. I'm so interested in your posts about Chile. My daughter and I were just talking about the possibility of visiting there. I'm also happy to know that you like your Airbnb apartment. We think that is a great way to go when traveling. Love your photos.
